I grew up in the Midwest and ended up in Southern California where I started my education. I graduated college with “Highest Honors”. I received full academic scholarships for both my doctoral and post-doctoral studies.
I was in General Practice in California for four years before returning to school to specialize in Endodontics. Since then I have concentrated on clinical private practice. (I never was much of a researcher.)
My hobbies include mountaineering, rock climbing, back packing, live music and playing poker with friends. I love downtown Portland and I am proud to be part of our vibrant city. I am a bicycle commuter and enjoy yoga and swimming for relaxation and fitness.
My present teaching activities are generally related to mountaineering courses offered through the Mazamas Climbing Club, and CPR classes I teach to other dental offices.
